My Top 5 Favorite Leggings

Leggings-Cat_2.jpg

I live in activewear… that is one of the truest statements I’ve ever made.

My life as a trainer and bodybuilder means I am going from workouts to clients or clients to workouts and back and forth. Some days I change my outfit 3 times, from one activewear outfit to the next, I am even guilty of wearing activewear on the weekend as well. Over years of doing this I have been through many, many pairs of leggings, some have been great and some not so great. After all my legging trial and error I want share my top legging picks that have all been lifestyle and workout tested to help you navigate the crazy world of activewear (All are pictured on me below in order).

Are you ready? Here are my top 5 favorite leggings:

1.) My daily go-to, the mecca of all leggings, the one, the only… Lululemon Aligns. Yes, I am truly an Align addict, I own 7 black pairs and every other color they come out with. They are butter soft, always stay in place and the most comfortable pair of pants ever made. Only con is that there is no compression in these pants. I am not a fan of compression but for those of you who are these might not be the right leggings for you.

2.) Another pair of Lululemons is next on the list. The Lululemon high rise Wunder Unders are my second go to pair of leggings. These are not as soft as the Aligns but they do have compression and dri-sweat material. The high waist makes them super flattering and they always make them in the cutest prints.

3.) Up next are the Athleta Elation tights. These feel almost identical to the Aligns but they have a banded waisted. For me I prefer the flat waist band but these are equally as soft and comfy and they have some compression in different styles, look for the Elation Uplifted version if you need the compression. Pro here is the price point, they are less expensive then the Aligns.

4.)   There can’t be a top leggings list with the Alo Mottos (the high waist ones of course). The Alo Mottos are stylish, comfortable and their color variety is the cutest (with matching sports bras). I wear my Mottos with sweaters or tees for an easy weekend look too! Con these pants are on the thicker side which is actually great during the colder months.

5.) Last but not least are the Beyond Yoga Space Dye leggings. These are also buttery soft (I guess I’m a sucker for soft leggings) and they make your glutes look amazing! The waist band has compression and is high waisted but is banded as well (I always prefer flat waist bands personally). I love the heathered look of these leggings because it’s a great way for me to step away from my usual black leggings!

Well there you have it, my top 5 leggings that you will catch me wearing daily. Also, If you have any other recommendations please share your favorites with me so I can add them to my list.

Remember, if I can’t wear leggings… I’m not going (shout out to Kore Collective on Union Street in SF for that friendly reminder).
